RESEARCH INTERESTS

Chemistry of heterocycles; green chemistry; combinatorial chemistry and diversity oriented synthesis; reaction of unsaturated carbonyl compounds and their synthetic precursors and equivalents with binucleophiles; 3-, 5-, 6- or 7-membered ring heterocycles. Linear, multicomponent and one-pot reactions, their regio- and stereoselectivity; reactions under non-classical conditions: microwave- and ultrasound-assisted organic synthesis; photo- and radiochromic organic compounds; theoretical aspects of heterocyclic chemistry, mechanisms of organic reactions.

The results of scientific work are published in books, reviews and original articles (see corresponding section) as well as reported as plenary, invited and oral lectures on conferences in appropriate fields.
